Leading with Heritage, Cooking with Heart ❤️| Meet Chef Ana 👩🏽‍🍳

With a heart for teaching and a lifelong love for food, Ana grew up in a home where knowledge and culture were always on the table. Her parents were educators, and her earliest memories are filled with the scents of home-cooked meals.

She went on to establish a renowned cooking school in Kuala Lumpur, becoming a passionate ambassador for Malaysian cuisine. Now based in Northwest Surrey, Ana invites you into her home kitchen to explore the rich and diverse tastes of Southeast Asia.

Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned cook, Ana will show you that you don't need a big kitchen or special tools to make delicious, flavourful Asian meals. Her classes are designed to be accessible, heartfelt, and above all, LaZat! (delicious).

“She is a fantastic teacher, warm and brilliantly funny. I’ve known Ana for 15 years,” David Fox told me. “Part of my research back then was to go to Malaysia to learn about Malaysian food. So our beef rendang, our nasi goreng, our chicken satay, our corn fritters, they’re all made with Ana’s help and input.”

These classes are perfect for both beginners and experienced cooks, with everything clearly provided. Ana shares practical techniques like how to cut and cook for the best results and encourages intuitive cooking by using smell and sight rather than strict timings. I’d highly recommend the experience to anyone considering getting into cooking.

“Malaysia is truly a melting pot of culture and cuisines, and I can’t wait to be able to teach my guests about East Asian food. My teaching style focuses on technique, so that each student can understand how to apply the foundation of East Asian cooking to their own recipes and tastes and leave with confidence”
